With the growing popularity of home decoration, ceiling lights have undergone rapid changes, no longer limited to the previous single-lamp design but evolving towards diversification. They not only embody the luxury and grandeur of chandeliers but also adopt a ceiling-mounted installation method, avoiding the disadvantage of being unable to install large and luxurious lighting fixtures in shorter rooms. The lamp body of an LED ceiling light is directly installed on the ceiling, making it suitable for overall lighting, typically used in living rooms and bedrooms. When installing and using LED ceiling lights, the following points should be noted:
When installing ceiling lights in masonry structures, embedded bolts, expansion bolts, nylon plugs, or plastic plugs should be used for fixation, and wooden wedges should not be employed. Furthermore, the load-bearing capacity of the aforementioned fasteners should match the weight of the ceiling light to ensure that it is firmly and reliably fixed, thereby extending its service life.
2. When using expansion bolts for fixation, the bolt specifications should be selected according to the technical requirements of the product, and the drilling diameter and embedding depth should match the bolt specifications.
3. The number of bolts used to secure the lamp holder should not be less than the number of fixing holes on the lamp base, and the bolt diameter should match the hole diameter; for lamps without fixed mounting holes on the base (self-drilling during installation), each lamp should have at least 2 bolts or screws for securing, and the weight of the lamp should match the weight of the bolts or screws; only when the diameter of the insulating table is 75mm or less can one bolt or screw be used for securing.
4. LED ceiling lights should not be installed directly on flammable objects. Some households, for aesthetic purposes, use painted plywood to line the back of the ceiling lights, which is actually very dangerous and requires insulation measures. If the high-temperature part of the light fixture's surface is close to flammable materials, insulation or heat dissipation measures must also be taken.
Before installing LED ceiling lights, the following items should also be checked:
The cross-sectional area of the wire core leading to each lighting fixture must be no less than 0.4mm2 for copper-core flexible wires and no less than 0.5mm2 for copper cores. Otherwise, the lead wire must be replaced.
The connection between the wire and the lamp cap, as well as the connection of parallel wires between lamp caps, should be secure, and the electrical contact should be good to avoid sparks between the wire and the terminal due to poor contact, which could pose a danger.
6. Educate children not to throw balloons or other objects at indoor lighting fixtures, to avoid the possibility of decorations hanging from the lights falling and causing injury or affecting the decorative effect of the lighting fixtures.
