Installation instructions and precautions for LED lamp cup

LED lamp cup is an indispensable lighting fixture for home decoration. It can be installed in kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, living rooms, etc. It is an environmentally friendly, new-generation energy-saving, and healthy lighting fixture.

Installing LED lamp cups is very convenient and simple, but there are still some points to note when installing them on special materials or in specific environments. Next, CPL will explain the precautions for installing LED lamp cups.

1. LED lamp cups should not be installed directly on flammable objects. Some households, for aesthetic purposes, use painted plywood to line the back of ceiling lights, which is actually very dangerous and requires insulation measures. If the high-temperature parts of the lamp surface are close to flammable materials, insulation or heat dissipation measures should also be taken.

2. The connection between the LED lamp cup wire and the lamp head, as well as the connection of parallel wires between lamp heads, should be secure, with good electrical contact, to avoid the risk of sparks between the wire and the terminal due to poor contact, which could lead to danger.

Before installing LED lamp cups, it is also necessary to check the cross-section of the wire core leading to each lamp. The copper core of the flexible wire should not be less than 0.4mm2, and the copper core should not be less than 0.5mm2. Otherwise, the lead wire needs to be replaced.

4. If expansion bolts are required for fixing LED lamp cups, the bolt specifications should be selected according to the technical requirements of the product, and the drilling diameter and embedding depth should match the bolt specifications.

5. The number of bolts used to secure the LED lamp cup to the lamp holder should not be less than the number of fixing holes on the lamp base, and the bolt diameter should match the hole diameter. For lamps without fixed mounting holes on the base (self-drilling during installation), each lamp should have at least 2 bolts or screws for fixation, and the center of gravity of the lamp should coincide with the center of gravity of the bolts or screws. Only when the diameter of the insulating table is 75mm or less can it be fixed with 1 bolt or screw.

6. When installing LED light cups in masonry structures, embedded bolts should be used, or expansion bolts, nylon plugs, or plastic plugs should be employed for fixation; wooden wedges are not allowed.

7. Educate children not to throw balloons or other objects at indoor lighting fixtures, to prevent decorative objects hanging from the lights from falling and hurting people or affecting the decorative effect of the lighting fixtures. Additionally, the load-bearing capacity of the aforementioned fixtures should match the weight of the ceiling lights, to ensure that the LED lamp cups are firmly and reliably fixed, and to extend their service life.

These points of attention are commonly encountered during the daily use and installation of LED lamp cups. Proper use and installation can not only extend the lifespan of the lighting fixtures, but also provide a brighter and more pleasant lighting environment for the home.
